Book Review: A Curious Beginning

 

A Curious Beginning By Deanna Raybourn is an instant 5 star. It hits all the right notes with quick witty banter and slow burn romance. Set in whimsically charming victorian era England with a cast of defiantly scientific minds. This short and sweet novel is a great choice for anyone looking for a fun romp. 

I loved reading this, plain and simple. Everything was right up my ally including the strength of our modern minded main character, Veronica Speedwell. She is someone who you want to root for and has admirable self confidence. This first installment of the series sets up her story bigger than even she could anticipate. I can't wait to see what is in store for the next adventure. 

Thank you so to my Aunt to recommended this book to me and waited to patiently for when I finally decided to pick it up. I can't believe it took me as long as it did. I can now see why this is an easy reread.
