Book Review: Throne Of The Fallen

 

Soooooo, this book was a doozie. I really wanted this book to be great but it sadly just wasn't. It would be going along famously, solving a mystery for the sake of a greater game but then our main characters would get distracted. Which then left me of stuck in the head of a generic sexually frustrated demon. It's fine, I'm fine, just disappointed. 

With this being said, I really like the overall plot and setting of the book. Set in a fantastically adjacent late 1800's England, I read that and I was immediately sat. LOVE some descriptions of a pretty dress. The descriptions of art and the character's relationship with art was also really nice. 

Honestly, it made me kinda want to check out the books based on the other characters because I found the would really interesting. The characters and romance was just not developed in a way that I enjoyed. Eh, I still don't know how to feel. Wishy washy?
